Josh's funeral was today. We never made it to the calling hours. I do not think Jonathan could handle it or was ready to face the loss of a friend and someone so young. On my way to work I headed towards the circle and people were lined up all around it. My car was stopped behind a truck, the police were clearing the circle to start the funeral procession. I turned off the car knowing that this would take some time. Many police cars from all surrounding cities where there to take part and honor a comrade. It was sad. The procession took 10 to 15 minutes to pass through before the streets were opened up again. News helicopter's flew overhead to get a birds eye view of the police and civilians that came to pay their respect to Josh.

This evening at dinner Josh became the topic of conversation again as he has so many time over the past week. Both Jonathan and his dad began to tear up. Jonathan's dad donated money in the family's name to Josh's memorial fund. So many ideas and theories run through our heads as to what truly happened. We discussed many of these circumstances during dinner.
At home we watched the funeral procession on the nightly news. It was like out of a movie or something you would see but you never expect to know that person. As Jonathan and I talked into the evening we decided it would be a good idea to dig up some old pictures of them when they were younger and give them to Holly. It would mean a lot to her and Thea their daughter, the more memories they can have the better.
